In this era of algorithm-driven precision, the real and rich life of an individual is being crudely simplified into labels and codes – the MBTI. Ctrl Z+ Personality is not only a deep reflection on this ‘industrialisation of personality’, but also a critical manifesto. The project starts from simple psychological tests and analyses how they compress the complexity of multifaceted personalities into standardised and tradable data products. As personality templates become the assembly line norms of the new century, are we gradually becoming formatted ‘game NPCs’? Only by breaking free from this cage of thinking can the individual regain control of themselves.
